Mirrorless Camera

Post by ironclad_chomskyan »

So I have been thinking of getting me a camera for a while. I am mostly a hobby photographer, and have been trying to learn stuff on my phone camera. Used to own a DSLR back in the mid-2010s, but that was a pretty basic one.

Wondering if I should get the Sony Alpha ILCE-6700M or the Fujifilm X-T50?

I had the Sony a6000 and was incredibly happy with it. I loved using vintage lenses on it with a mount adapter and got some really cool-looking shots that way. The mirrorless a6700 just seems like a beefed-up verion of the a6000, so I'd pretty happily recommend it.

Thanks! Yeah, I decided to go with the Sony. Besides the autofocus being noticeably better than the X-T50, the sony is also weather-proof. I was kinda split between the 6700 and 7IV... but decided the extra money for the full-frame did not really make a lot of sense for me.

I'm too late... Fuji 10000%. If you want video (or maybe extreme low-light)... Sony. If you want a camera that feels and functions like a camera and takes images that don't look cold and digital... Fujifilm. I use a Fuji X100Vi and I don't have to edit my photos... I just add a film simulation in the camera and that's it... all unedited:

My camera has the same sensor as the Fujifilm X-T50... it's just smaller and has a fixed 35mm F2 lens (23mm, but 35mm equivalent).
