This could be a separate topic... but I had an LCD that I got from someone for a mini PC trade... and I loved it. It just worked. I upgraded to the OLED and sold it... and the OLED is quieter, looks better, etc. but the buttons were terrible. If you take the unit and shake it, the buttons all rattled in their slots... then they would get stuck. I died so many times in platform games. So, I ended up replacing all the buttons with tactile versions and it works perfectly now, but doesn't feel as good. I'm not into the mechanical buttons as much... but at least I can game now.WhiteSnake9191 wrote: Apr 16th, '26, 02:47 I really would like a Steam Deck at some point, just at a more frugal price... kinda kicking myself for not pulling the trigger on an actual Steam refurbed OLED one, I have a site that updates me if that particular URL updates, but they haven't been in stock for the OLED ones for a verrrrrry long time now. I mostly want that model for the much quieter fan than the LCD one, and quite a bit better battery life too.
I don't know if new or refurbs have that issue, but there were way more quality control issues with the OLED buttons. So, just make sure you are OK with tinkering with that.
