Is Electro-industrial / EBM ok to throw into the music thread? I saw a pretty good variety of stuff. A genre i've recently been getting into

Hell yeah. I don't know much about that music, but I'm into it. Most don't know this... but I go to goth/industrial night as often as I can... goof off dancing to stuff like this in the glow of the lights and the haze of the fog machine. I don't listen to it when I'm at home, but it's fun there.

Anyway, post anything... there's no rules; whatever you're into is cool.

Tonight I'm switching between metal and medieval dungeon synth. Fief and DIM are my favorites in this style...

@Archmage that Bach you posted the other day got me going through my Bach and Brahms... then I ended up on this for a while.

I don't care if I was the last poster... music is good, lol. I listen to basically everything these days. Been on a Madonna True Blue kick for most of the day, but I'm on to slightly heavier stuff:

They only made a couple albums, but if you like Dokken and similar stuff that is just a bit too heavy and serious to be pure glam metal, then it's for you.

@ward I put this song on expecting to not like it but I'm glad I gave it a shot, those vocals are just stellar!

As for me: I've been getting into this band lately. Some fun heavy psychedelic prog...

The 80s hair metal was pretty fun to listen to. Ok I got another cool one to share that I always kick off either a workout or if I need to get into a dark mood for writing inspiration.
As for genre I guess it's 'viking-esque'? Even though viking music was technically just like flutes and little drums? Oh, it's also not viking metal, like Amon Amarth (they're awesome too).

MORE PROG FOR THE PROG GOD
The new yes single is out and I really like it. don't love the over the top orchestral intro but I like the rest of the song, especially the guitars and bass in the back half

This is a remix of the venus lighthouse theme from the first Golden Sun game. It's been stuck in my head for a day or so now so I figured I'd share it with y'all

The Golden Sun melodies are so good. I've never played the game, but I listened to the soundtrack a bunch a while back while building the pirates of barracuda bay lego set. I wasn't sure about the sax and real instruments/samples... but it's growing on me. Totally different.

Since I'm writing a book set in the satanic panic... I've been listening to a lot of ridiculous stuff like this:

I heard that she had to go to court to explain the lyrics during the satanic panic... but I can't find any articles... so maybe that was just a rumor back when.

Doing some technical work this evening for learnting purposes so I cracked out the electronic. (Soothes my mind for whatever reason)
