Hopefully they don't make Ciri start grunting all the time lolmega wrote: Mar 25th, '26, 02:15I get that and also prefer playing as Ciri, she's a really interesting character.ward wrote: Mar 24th, '26, 22:39 I'm really looking forward to Witcher 4. I like Geralt, but he can be too stoic for me at times so I don't fully connect. I much prefer the Ciri portions... I put about 30 hours into Witcher 3 and keep feeling like I'm missing out on something, but I also don't want to RP as Geralt, lol.

I was thinking along the same lines! I stopped playing BG3 when I left the Underdark because I missed it.ward wrote: Mar 3rd, '26, 06:20We need to study our brains and see what pathways differ. I saw you post about the Underdark and thought, "OH NICE! best part... WAIT WHAT?!" The Underdark is the one place that I wanted to live in... I'd play a whole trilogy there. I even loaded up Menzoberranzan last night... but it didn't age well.the_skotts wrote: Mar 3rd, '26, 05:15 I'm still working my way through BG3 (I'm very slow and progressing through games). Currently I am in the underdark and I can't say I'm a fan of the area. For some reason underground giant mushroom caves just creep me out and make me feel very uneasy. I hated blackreach in Skyrim for the same reason lolBlackreach was my favorite spot in Skyrim too. I wonder if my ancestors lived in caves... and came out to fight your ancestors! lol.f1195726f2c7c472659cba1f81853c46.jpg
I also forgot the rest of Skyrim existed when I found Blackreach and spent way too long down there.

@ward & @Archmage How did you two feel about the Shadow-Cursed Lands? I eventually came around to feeling neutral towards the Underdark, but I don't think that will happen with the Shadow-Cursed Lands lol

I really like the more 'contained' areas of Act 2...Sharran temple, Moonrise, the Colony. The open wilderness area is fine, but it's not my favorite.the_skotts wrote: Mar 31st, '26, 11:47 @ward & @Archmage How did you two feel about the Shadow-Cursed Lands? I've been playing the 1.0 release of Timberborn, they introduced some new mechanics along with automation. I'm still early game so I have not been able to play with the new stuff but I think they improved the water physics. I'm having far less floods compared to the last time I played.

Re: What are you playing?
Trying to diversify from only playing Hades II. Cleaned up my 3DS library and made it so that I only have three games immediately viewable when I start up the system: Pushmo, Shovel Knight, and Link Between Worlds.

Pushmo is a lot of fun. Really cute puzzle game that you can quickly pick up, beat a level or two, and then put down.
I've also been getting myself to replay Shovel Knight. I haven't played through all of the DLC and love a good platformer.
Eventually I'll get myself to pick up Link Between Worlds. I really enjoyed it when I played it and haven't played the original Link to the Past, although I really should get around to it.

BG3 update. Act 2 is done!
I really enjoyed this part of the game. The larger plot is all starting to come together and there was a lot of good character quests and moments for the companions. The gauntlet of shar stuff was probably my favorite part of this act. That Balthazaar fight sucked though and I thought he was way tougher than the actual big bad boss fight for act 2.
Towards the end of this act I did manage to get an ending to the game after telling a companion to blow themselves up because I didn't think they'd actually do it lol
I'll probably pick it back up tonight to start act 3, but I've also thought about taking a break to play something else. I'm just worried I'll forget what was going on if I do.

Pushmo World on the Wii U is a favorite puzzle game of mine, the artstyle is super cute too!

Act 3 is... huge and has some of the most fun dialog. I still like act 2 just because I love the underdark. but I'm betting you'll like act 3 the most. I'll wait and see.the_skotts wrote: Apr 6th, '26, 09:45 BG3 update. Act 2 is done!

Minor spoiler... do whatever you can do make it to Raphael's world/lair... it's one of the best parts of any game ever.
