Show us your desk/computer setup!
I've always loved looking at other people's computer/desk setups. There's something really comforting about it for me. I like getting a peak into other people's spaces and I like to take inspiration from them.
Here's mine!
Here's mine!
I like to keep mine cozy. Yes, i know that i need to get frames. Not pictured is the actual desktop. It's just out of view, off to the left.

Re: Show us your desk/computer setup!
It's just my whole dang living room. I live in a cozy one-bedroom apartment/flat with a few cats. Not pictured is my overfilled bookshelf that holds a giant 1950s decorative lamp, which illuminates the space. There's also a couch in the other corner. Router is in here on the shelf, but modem is fed via 50ft ethernet to the bedroom. Featuring Jeremy Brett as Sherlock Holmes, and Real Bout 2 for the Neo Geo (via RetroPie) running on attract mode.

Re: Show us your desk/computer setup!
Here is my setup. It's basically been the same for like 10 years. It's just a cheap ikea desk that I got for free and the monitor arms have put sizable dent in it where they clamp on lol. The clutter continues out of frame too. Directly to my left I have my old desktop and a TV sitting on the floor. My actual desktop is just off to right on the floor. There's two keyboards because I need a 10 key for work but the one I have sucks for playing games so I'll switch to the 10 keyless for gaming. Wouldn't be a problem if one of my cats hadn't thrown up on my mechanical keyboard that had a 10 key
Re: Show us your desk/computer setup!
I really like both of these!
@chiefterror Firstly, love the flag. Second, is that a giant monitor on the desk, or is it a TV?
@the_skotts I like the bookshelf you've got there, and I'm envious of all the space, lol. I've thought about getting monitor arms to make more room for myself, but I'm content for now, especially since I can slide my keyboard out of the way, under my monitor stand...anyway, loving the IBM rubber dome there. I've got the same one. What's the TKL? What kinda switches does that thing have?

Re: Show us your desk/computer setup!
@Casey A large TV (for free from a clutter-clearing neighbor, mind you) indeed, though you're giving me ideas. There's also a catch-all pride flag that the camera angle didn't pick up very well.

Re: Show us your desk/computer setup!
@Casey the wide angle lense definitely makes it look like there's more space than there actually is lol. Getting the monitor arms was a very nice upgrade that I recommend to pretty much every!
The TKL is a Drop Entry with Halo True switches. It's a nice feeling keyboard but some of the backlight have gone out which is kind of annoying.

Re: Show us your desk/computer setup!
So many CRTs in these setups. I've really gotta get mine going again...

Very humble setup, which will be humbled even further. I primarily use this for work, while my actual desktop is hooked up to our living room TV and is used for gaming and websurfing. My fiancee's desk is directly to the left of mine, but we honestly don't have the space for two desks.
I'll eventually downgrade to a small rolling standing desk with an arm for a portable monitor. I don't think I need much more than that at the moment.

Re: Show us your desk/computer setup!
It’s still a bit mid-transition right now, but I cleaned it up enough to finally post it. I’m in the process of moving the system over to a new rackmount case, so this is kind of the last look at the setup in its current form.
The CRT on the left is a Compaq S910, which I was lucky enough to find back in 2022 in mint condition. It’s still one of my favorite pieces in the whole setup.
This is my VaporDream build: a big full-tower custom loop system that originally started life as a dual-PC setup. I eventually cannibalized part of it to build a machine for my partner, and now the rest of the system is in the middle of a move toward a rackmount setup.
Even half-transitioned, it’s still probably my favorite build I’ve done.

Re: Show us your desk/computer setup!
@bumbervevo Nothing wrong with a simple and humble setup! I consider mine pretty simple these days...I even 'downgraded' from a 1440p display because it was just too big for me. I'm curious about the fact that you seem to have two laptops going here! What are they for?
@aestheticjmack this is comfy! I really like the deskmats as well. I like the look of that keyboard as well. What is that?

@Casey The mouse pads are from the no longer with us Zap Cables, the keyboard is the Melgeek Mojo 68, I for one am a huge fan of transparent plastics and it matches my Pulsar X2 perfectly!
