Cool setup! I presume you're on a boat for work?
I spot Abe's Oddysee, Ion Fury, and Blood, too! Exceptionally good games there.

This setup is the epitome of "it's more fun to drive a slow car fast"

What an interesting setup! I've never met anyone who lives on a boat. How do you like it? I'm admittedly quite a hydrophobe, but it's an interesting idea.
Love the fact that you're upgrading office systems. I've always found that more interesting than a diy build... can't put my finger on why, exactly.

Yeah the upgrading office systems comes more from the fact that the good gen i7's are now dirt cheap, they come with ram and most importantly they run below 200w. I have three 12v DC 120aH batteries going to a 1500w inverter so I do have to be power concious y'know?

This is wild. I didn't even know they made an x86 handheld like that. As iGPUs get better, I can see this becoming a serious desktop for loads of people. When you mention power, how does that work? Are you constantly running a generator or do you have some solar panels or something? There's not a line connected to it or anything, right?

No, no shoreline power. I have 450w of solar panels on my roof and a 75amp alternator on my engine which charges my leisure batteries. The sun lets me play video games til it's dark :)ward wrote: Mar 17th, '26, 07:09 This is wild. I didn't even know they made an x86 handheld like that. To give you a solid reference for desktop power. I am playing S.T.A.L.K.E.R Anomaly in Dx8 medium settings 1080p at 50-60fps. Thats through heroic launcher on my gog profile.

That is a very neat setup! I used to have a manager that lived on a boat and rode a harley to the call center we worked at. She was a pretty cool lady lol.
Those mini PCs are great. I took so many out of warranty ones from work to give to friends and family that needed a PC. Like all of the mini Dells we had ordered had their hard dives die pretty quickly so once they were out of warrant I'd just take them and then throw an SSD in it and they were good to go.
Also, could we see more of the rabbit?
