I have Plasma on my laptop, but I keep finding myself feeling jealous of XFCE. It looks slightly older and slightly less fancy and that always gets me. I installed it and the learning curve was a bit much. Plasma works with my windows hotkey brain. It's hard to switch when you've been using tons of hotkeys for decades. I guess I could take the time to re-do the hotkeys, but then I'd have to do that on every system in the future... hmmm... could save a script... thinking... thinking... hmm. lol.

As for my desktop, it just scrolls through screenshots from random games I've played recently. Today it's 2B with the highest possible boots in history.

I had all my screenshots syncing to my work PC as well, but had to stop doing that because the wallpaper changed to this image while I was shooting a product video and I didn't realize it until I was editing... I almost just said, "fuck it," ... but it was for a professional laptop, so I re-shot a ton of footage, to remove 2B's ass, lol.

Taskbar is Retrobar which makes Windows kinda awesome (when coupled with openshell):

This is probably the most boring and disappointing desktop here. It's just Win 11 with a blackwallpaper  . I don't remember why I changed my wallpaper to just a plain black screen, but it's been that way for years.

Frustrations arose in my Arch build that, rather than sit there and fix yet again, I said f it and reinstalled CachyOS. All the Windows Vista appreciation made me miss Plasma, so I got that too. felikcat settings enabled.*

In Window Management settings, you can install Kwin scripts. I've got Krohnkite for tiling windows.

I prefer simple and lightweight DE, like XFCE, MATE and LXQt. Most of the time hotkeys I'm using are Alt+Tab (switch windows) and Alt+F2 (call runner to open the program that I need).

When I saw the Nier: Automata trailer, I thought, "I want to play this game", so I went to the store and bought a PS4 Pro and the game back in 2017. And for today, this is the best game on PS4 for me. I saw all 28 endings, got all trophies, and... never played since 2017. Now I need to play again someday.
