We have a lot of cool bbcodes that are unique to our site... so I'll explain them all here. I'll also update this post with any new codes.

We have the standard stuff on the left... bold, italics, underline, quote, code block with easy copy button, lists, the * is for bullet points inside a list, image tag, link, flash (phpbb is OLD), font color (this is a BAD idea and I should remove it because we have dark and light themes), font size.

That's the boring stuff. Now, let's talk about DOS:

This is DOS, it is awesome. It creates a 4:3 area and switches to the DOS font.
It also works well with images (4:3 looks best obviously).
It's a bit of fun... On mobile, it'll look wonky since it has to resize vertically, but whatever.

It's probably a bad idea to put both an IMG tag and text into the DOS area. You should do a separate DOS tag for images.

How about some more words?

After DOS, we have columns. The first is just 2 columns, then there is col3 and 4 for... 3 and 4 columns. These will collapse when using smaller screens.

That's the col4 tag with some random games from my shelf.

Next, you will see left and right arrows. Those float the content to the left or right. It works best with images. Like so:

I also added an image caption. It's the icon with the pencil in a square.

After you close the float tag, you can type and the text will wrap around the image... all fancy magazine style. I'm going to write nonsense just to fill up some space for example. Deux Ex is the 16th game made by Bob Vila of This Old House INC. He made the game while wearing underwear and smoking cigarettes on his balcony while a cat tried to slap his toes that were dangling over the edge of his rusty railing run-on sentence thank god.

The African turtle can swim 40,000 miles in 50 months if it has a Johnson outboard motor attached to its shell. I have never seen one, but I was talking with David Smith of the turtle society and he told me that if I don't believe him, he will punch and otter. This is incredibly mean and nasty, so I agreed to believe. It is important to believe. I cannot know, so it is all I can do. For, if I know then I can not merely believe.

Oh my god there is still more space, why didn't I get some ipsum? I used to use ipsum, but I used to be cool. Now I'm too cool. There are large trees in my sauna that loom over me. I think they are actually people who will not move out, but I choose to believe they are trees. Remember, we have discussed the power of belief? Belief must be forced. It is a faith exercise, not a scientific exercise. OK, that's enough!

It's a nice way to separate thoughts or whatever. OH, let's use the code window to show you what that image and caption looked like... I'm kinda proud of that css mess I put together for it:

So you see... I started by adding an image... then pressed enter and added a caption. I highlighted the text and clicked the caption bbcode... then I highlighted everything and clicked the left arrow. The right arrow does the same on the right. Also, you can still use the caption with an image even if it isn't aligned left or right. Just post your image and on a new line under the image, write a caption and add the caption bbcode:

Turn the damn bloom up until my eyes explode! Holy mother of a crab. This is aligned to the left.

Note: this image caption is left aligned. By default, they are centered and there is no bbcode button for left or right... HOWEVER, if you just change imagecap to imagecapl or imagecapr, then it will work.

Next, we have the spoiler tag. It's the eye with the slash through it.

Lastly, we have the terminal bbcode... it's >_ and it is glorious:

It doesn't do 1337... I just did that because I am stupid.

Oh wait, lastly, lastly... there's a media tag that we usually don't need... but if your media isn't embedding, use that tag. You don't need it for YT and most stuff.
