still loving Demonschool! I'm still a little early on in the game because I don't have a ton of gaming time, but this game is great. The dialogue is absurd. I can't remember the last time I laughed so hard at a game.

other than Demonschool I've been playing Baldur's Gate 1 again. BG2 is a much better game, but BG1 is still a lot of fun

I've got a 14 hour flight coming up so I loaded my Steamdeck up with a couple of games I've yet to play. First up is Dungeons 4, I never did beat Dungeons 3 but I almost did.

Second and the one I suspect will eat up most of the my time is Dragon's Dogma. I'm going in blind on this one so I have no idea what to expect.

And of course if either of the above don't click I've got BG 3 loaded with a fresh new character.

I've been playing a bit of Vital Shell when I don't feel like playing BG3. It's kind of like "what if Vampire Survivors, but with mechs and 3d". Also it looks like a late ps1/early p2 game which is a style I really appreciate. It's a pretty good turn your brain off kind of game.

Earthion. Released summer of last year, the game is a brand new shmup for the Sega Genesis/ Mega Drive. The game is on a technical level, absolutely stunning, showing off what the Genesis could do with a really big cartridge.

I love when people make new games for retro consoles. Not that I don't appreciate indie devs' efforts already, but I'd love if even one quarter of the indie devs making retro-style games today did so for actual retro hardware.

We also need to return to FM synthesis!

Speaking of indie games released for "dead" consoles, anyone ever play Last Hope on the Dreamcast? One of the hardest shmups I've ever dared. The "Pink Bullets" version is very rare as well

A bit of an update.

I finally beat Wizardry VI. I'll have to give my full thoughts on it later, but I'd sum it up as of its time, ahead of its time, behind its time and out of time all at once. I've imported my party to Wizardry VII, but beyond dicking around in the first town of New City and getting some additional/better weapons, I'll have to play it later, because I really want to try out Harvester.

I would sell my soul to get my hands on a PC-98, just for the YM2608. In the right hands, that chip is an absolute weapon of a synth.
