American McGee's Alice is such a fantastic game. It's so charming, clever, and the vibes are top notch. I love the gloomy, twisted version of Wonderland. Combat can be a bit clunky imo but I've always had a blast with it regardless. I never got around to playing the sequel, maybe some day...anyone else play this?

I played it for the first time about a year ago on my CRT... I got stuck after 4 or 5 hours and have been so busy that I forgot to go back to it... I think I might have to re-learn a few things now... I got to this section and it felt like no matter what I did I couldn't get past it, but I can't remember what it was. I loved it though. American was one of my favorite level designers at id, so it makes sense that I liked their style...
I haven't played Madness Returns yet. I wanted to get through the first one, then go on to that.
Maybe once we get going more, we can have a game of the month or something and add this to the list. I think it would be really interesting to talk about it while playing it. Games like this were somewhat unique back then, but they feel almost new when compared to modern games.

I think a game of the month club sounds like an awesome idea! This should definitely go on the list.

I have had multiple attempts at finish this game. I don’t what happens but I’ll get decently far into it then something happens and I forget about it. I need to actually finish it at some point.
