Fwiw, you could set up something like https://github.com/baskerville/sxhkd (on X) or https://github.com/MaxVerevkin/wlr-which-key (on Wayland) With your keyboard shortcuts. You set it up once, and technically you'd be able to bring the same config to any Desktop or Windowing environment you want in the future
