Re: Linux thread
Been debating trying it out again, maybe Bazzite as well. I read to not try dual booting with Bazzite and windows on the same drive and to put the windows portion on a separate ssd, but maybe that doesn't apply anymore or the person was misinformed.
I'm not sure how great bazzite would be on a ...

Re: Talk about your favorite YouTube channels here.
Grimbeard is one of my favorites for games, unmatched vibes and I appreciate the attention given to the developers themselves that reviews (even longer ones) tend to gloss over a lot of the time.

Re: Got some new (old) games! - PS2 General talk
Recently I picked up a ps2 again, I still have all my games from its hayday, I think its safe to say I'll be keeping those for a long time. For now, does anyone have any recommendations for a up converter? Looking for for something that'll smooth out the jagged edges in games, if that is possible ...

Re: Windows XP/7 AMD build
Spent some time today trying out overclocking the CPU. 3.2Ghz seems to be as fast as it'll go without going crazy with vcore. 3.3Ghz doesn't seem to make it to windows at any voltage and I don't really want to kill the chip.

Re: Windows XP/7 AMD build
if you end up needing a little more cpu oompth, I'm 99% sure the Phenom 2 x4 and x6 were compatible with the AM2+ mobos
Looks extremely clean. To echo WhiteSnake9191 , those x4 and x6 CPUs will work fine. If you don't want to spend $100 on an 1100T, the 1045T is usually under $30. I'll be ...

Windows XP/7 AMD build
Been wanting a machine to cover the late 00s era since this is right before I got seriously into PC gaming myself. I've been slowly gathering the parts for this for a while now, mainly because I was waiting for the GPU and motherboard to show up on ebay for a reasonable price. I still don't have the ...

Re: What game servers would you like to see?
Monolith's games have pretty fun multiplayer, can recommend Shogo, NOLF and FEAR. Don't think the first two have Linux binaries available but I've hosted them using WINE on a Linux VPS and didn't have any issues.

Re: Forum Plans for 2026 - Give me your ideas
You really have to use things to figure out what would be best. I do like the game categories (by era), but I don't like how I organized the hardware categories (again, by era). I find that I usually post about a sound card or a graphics card, not a 1999 gaming PC... So, I think it might be ...
