Re: Forum Plans for 2026 - Give me your ideas
Playing around with the signature, I couldn't find an option to centre-wrap the '[img]' tags so that the sig aligns to the centre of the webpage. Is there an option to do so in case anyone wants to do that?

Alternatively, you also have the 3870X2, 4870X2 and the 5970 in case you are unsure about Nvidia's offerings.

Yeah and games as well, all the way up to the 2010s. For all platforms.ward wrote: Apr 15th, '26, 12:15 Anyway, I was going to mostly talk about games on easy mode, but I think the old stuff that enables games is totally fair too... so I'll probably get into those topics you were mentioning @Destroyed007.

Re: Forum Plans for 2026 - Give me your ideas
I thought that might be ok for Tek Syndicate... but then I thought, "why..." After getting a strike for talking about removing AI from Windows... and also talking about LTSC... I have had a very hard time caring about the channel. That plus I am just very bored with modern tech. I am supposed to ...

I have been enjoying the forum. I basically ignore twitter, the fediverse, and bluesky now. If there isn't much going on here, I just get back to work. Even though I'm scrolling less, I feel a lot better with the small community than I do on those microblog sites, so I think this was the ...

Re: Ward's Ultimate Windows 98/2000 Build
I updated my soundcard yet again... all this thanks to the rabbit holes @Destroyed007 got me going down.
I hope it was worth it. You will then rule the world with your 8 bit MIDI mixtapes (。◕‿‿◕。)
I have settled on the Yamaha YMF719E-S branded as a Labway A151-A00 ISA Soundcard. I figured ...

Re: Websurfing!
Anyone who has sound cards from the DOS era that wants to discover more of these midi tunes made by users will be stuck with on this site for a while.
There could be more of these sites with midi tunes made and uploaded by users. If anyone else out there has any, feel free to share. Good way to ...

Re: Websurfing!
Any radio nerds out there? I'd recommend looking at this site. Have known about it for a long time and I am surprised it is still up and being maintained.

Re: Resurrecting my XP Box
At 130W, that could explain the bonfire nature of that PC I sold last year. It should have some form of Speedstep. Maybe that wasn't even enough to tame down those CPUs.

Re: Resurrecting my XP Box
however, I didn't realize the Q9550 and 9650s were so cheap now...
And QX9650s, if you want a little bump. However, I haven't kept up to date on pricing for it, so I don't know if it's still cheap or it's going the same way with the QX9770 and an even rarer QX9775; though the latter is an ...
